Out of the box, Hubspot and Zoho’s CRM platforms provide hundreds of features. Configuration extends basic setup and installation, and aims to cover the majority of your organisation’s requirements and approved functional specification.

If configuration of a platform can handle the majority of your functionality, your CRM development costs, ongoing CRM maintenance and support costs will be minimised. Our expertise in configuration allows CRM platforms to run leaner without compromising on functionality. While it doesn’t cover everything required from a CRM development, we aim to maximise benefits through the simplest pathway – CRM configuration.

CRM Integration

A step up from configuration isn’t jumping straight into customisation. If someone has already gone through the pain of bespoke development and their tools are well supported, we look to integrate up to a handful of 3rd party modules to extend the functionality of the core platform. The is without the often large development and maintenance costs of bespoke CRM module development.

However, there is a limit to integration. We avoid too many modules, as over-syncronisation becomes a huge maintenance problem. As well as avoiding smaller modules with little market penetration no matter how much they promise. Unless we can purchase the codebase as a single cost install, we’ve seen too many of them folded or pivoted. This simply adds costs to the post-launch phase of a CRM development project.

Conversely, well established modules that can add incredible benefit with minimal ongoing costs.

CRM Customisation

Finally, bespoke CRM development code and customisation. You’ll end up here if your organisation is successful either way, as no platform can do everything for everyone.  The idea is to minimise customisation in the initial stages of a CRM development project, win the low hanging fruit first, by standing up a CRM using configuration and integration. This will add huge benefits over manual or legacy CRM systems. Then build in complexity of customised CRM development. This solves two major issues with CRM development, the time to test and implement as well as team on-boarding.

There is no limit on what customised CRM can to do with off-site module development and API accessibility these days, so the sky is the limit.
